My husband does 2 jobs. He earn more money from 2 nd job than 1st job. Both are permanent jobs. Howmany % they deduct from 2 jobs. Should we inform to hmrcthat "this is my first job and this is my 2nd job"?

To review the tax codes for both jobs your husband will need to contact HMRC:
Your tax code can be split between two jobs/employers.

Hi - would appreciate your thoughts on my circumstance. I work for a university and earn £121K p.a. I did a single piece of work for 2nd employer and was paid £250 - the enrolled me as an employee to pay me. This led to a change in my tax code meaning that I am now due to pay an additional £8K income tax annually. It does not make sense to me that a £250 payment to me increases my tax by £8K Can I claim this back? What is the mechanism please? bw Paul
