Dear, I'm writing to request information about the process for obtaining a National Insurance Number (NIN) from abroad. I am currently residing in Spain and do not plan to relocate to the United Kingdom, but I'm in the process of being hired for a remote position by a UK-based company. I understand that obtaining a NIN is essential to facilitate the hiring process and to comply with UK tax obligations. It is important to note that Spain and the United Kingdom have agreements in place to avoid double taxation, ensuring that my tax obligations are properly managed in both countries. I would appreciate any guidance you can provide on how to proceed with obtaining the NIN from abroad given my particular circumstances. I look forward to your response and any further information you can provide.

Hi,
You would need to contact the Department for Work and Pensions as they deal with National Insurance number registrations:

Thank you.
