I recently moved back to the UK from the US and am still working remotely for my US based employer and am paid in USD to my bank account in the US. The company I work for has no UK presence. How do I pay my National Insurance contributions please? How can I set it up so that I can pay these routinely? How do I stop having to also pay Social Security at the same time in the US (automatically goes out of my pay there is USD). Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi aberdaff,
If you are continuing to live in the UK and paying into the US system, you may also need to be registered for Self-Assessment as you have foreign income.
If you choose not to pay into the US state, you will need a certificate of liability to not pay into the US and instead pay into the UK.
If you decide to pay into both states, you will only be able to pay into the UK one voluntarily as you may have overseas liability to the US.
Please call the National Insurance helpline to discuss your status and the US connection on 0300 200 3500.
Thank you.
