Hi - I have looked up my pension forecast on the HMRC website and I think it is wrong. I have always filled out tax returns as a self employed person and paid Class 4 National insurance but I do not think this information has been uploaded. What is the best way to get this corrected please?

Hi,
Class 4 National Insurance contributions do not count towards your State Pension. A self-employed person usually pays class 2 National Insurance contributions, depending on the profits, as well as class 4, also depending on the profits. Further information regarding classes of National Insurance contributions can be found here:
National Insurance: introduction
You can contact our National Insurance team to confirm that your self employment has been set up for class 2 National Insurance purposes.

Thank you.

Apologies I thought it was called Class 4. As mentioned in my first post the situation is that I have always filled out tax returns as a self employed person and paid whatever National Insurance was requested but when I look up my pension forecast there are years that it says are not complete but I know that I have paid NI in those years and I have the paper tax returns to prove it. I am wondering if HMRC has not yet uploaded my paper tax returns and if so when this will be done and when my pension forecast will be up to date.
