Hi, i earlier this year i paid my class 2 in 2023/2024. When I paid this i noticed that my 2022/2023 ni stamp was missing. I checked and both payments were sent and received well before the deadline. I spoke to hmrc via live chat and the helpful man checked my payment reference number for the missing 2022/2023 contribution and told me he'd reallocate it. Unfortunately I've received a giro today telling me I've not yet paid my 2023/2024 ni. Looking closely i see that to pay the 2022/2023 contribution it appears to have used the money in my account, which is the money for 2023/2024. In other words 2022/2023 money has been paid for twice(still showing as checking), leaving no money for this year's contribution. Both years still read "We are checking this year to see if it counts" on my ni record but i understand this takes some time.
