Hi - After reading NI38 my husband and i sent in CF83 forms requesting information /ticked the box to request info on amount of missing NI contributions we would be eligible to pay to help our UK pension when we eventually return to the uk after living and working in Germany for over 20 years. We sent the letters in April this year and wanted confirmation of receipt - that we are in a queue to get a reply. I have tried phoning the help line numerous times but cannot get through. We have already checked online and seen our contributions status so know the amount of the gaps but need confirmation of if we should pay to increase our uk pension and how? Thanks

Hi,

We are sorry for the delay in providing you with replies to your CF83 application forms to apply to pay voluntary National Insurance contributions whilst overseas.

Our International Caseworker EU Team are currently dealing with applications received in January 2023 at the moment so, unfortunately, there will still be a delay before they will reply to you.

We can assure you that you will not be penalised for our delay in replying and any amounts that you may wish to make will be quoted at the rates in force when we received your applications.

Thank you.
