Hi I started my full time job in May 2021 and income tax and NI were duly deducted by my employer with PAYE every month. However, when I login my person tax account just now, it said I paid £0 income tax and NI contributions. I checked this community forum for similar cases, people found out their payment data was stored in HMRC's temporary system and HMRC's officers then help them to merge the data with the online person tax account. I guess it could be the reason for my missing records too since I don't have a NI number until three months after starting my job. Please advise if you could help fixing my tax record, thank you.

Hi,

You will need to contact our Income Tax department to discuss this so that we can try and
locate if there is a temporary reference.
