HMRC have recently sent to my house the N.I. number for someone I do not know. However, I believe the addressee was a tenant of the person who owned my house before I bought it in 2015. I am concerned that the addressee, for whatever reason, has provided (incorrectly and fraudulently) my address to H.M.R.C.( and possibly to other official bodies) , as belonging to him. I have looked everywhere on H.M.R.C. website to find out how/where I can report this. I have also tried to 'phone the helpline, but have given up after very long waiting times trying to get to speak to someone. Help/advice will be greatly appreciated.
