I live and work abroad. I filled out and submitted form CF83 and have received (by phone) details of my payable gaps. The gaps are a mix of Class 2 and Class 3. Since I am paying from abroad, I understand that I need to make a payment as follows: Account: 08-32-20 / 12001004 Account name: HMRC NIC receipts Payment ref: NN112233AICSMYTHEA (NI + "IC" + SURNAME + INITIAL up to 18 chars) The question I have is: can I pay the mix of Class 2 and Class 3 payments in a single lump sum payment to the above account? The website has different instructions for Class 2 and Class 3 but above seems for Class 2 (for payments for those living and working abroad). Thanks in advance.

Hi John,
Yes, the payment can be made in one lump sum using the reference number as quoted NI + "IC" + SURNAME + INITIAL up to 18 characters.
Please note if limited to a certain amount of characters, use NINO followed by IC and as much of surname as possible.
Thank you.
