I used the 18 digit number I was given over the phone. The money has gone out of my bank account, but I received no acknowledgement from the Govt. What should I do? How do I know what year it was applied to?

Hi TruTru,
It can take up to 6 weeks for your payment of voluntary National Insurance contributions to be reflected on your Personal Tax Account.
If you made your payment more than 6 weeks ago and it’s not shown on your Personal Tax Account then you may wish to call our National Insurance Helpline on:
National Insurance: general enquiries
And they will check to see if it’s recorded.
You may wish to have details of your payment handy when you call just in case they are needed.
Thank you.
