Hi I got married back in 2015, I was a post graduate student at the time and 31. I had been paying NI contributions since around the ago of 18/19 until that point, then I went back to full time work in Oct of that year and have been full time since. I’m worried as I don’t think I informed HMRC of my name change. All the ID I have now has my married name on. So when I got to my government gateway, and enter my national insurance number it says details don’t match (unless I enter my maiden name). Thanks

Hi EmilyHaz83,
If you could call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 (from the UK) or +44 191 203 7010 (from overseas) they will be able to update your National Insurance account with your name and address.
