My husband and I both paid for 5 back years of missing NICs towards our state pensions on 25 April 2023. It is now 3 September and these payments have not been credited to our NIC accounts. This is rather worrying as we paid by direct transfers from our bank and used the 18 digit number provided. I cannot see why the money is not automatically credited.

You will need to contact our National Insurance team who will be able to confirm whether your payments of National Insurance contributions have been received and start the process to allocate them to your National Insurance accounts.
