Is there a reason why I cannot see my National Insurance contribution for 2022/23? My record on the gateway reads "your record for this year is not available yet". We are now 5 months into the 2023/24 tax year. As I'm now retired, I wish to pay the outstanding amount before my state pension due date.

Hi,

This varies from customer to customer. Some customers will already be able to view their 2022 to 202323 year in their personal tax account, but unfortunately others cannot.

This could be for a variety of reasons, most commonly it is not unusual for PAYE information from employers to take several months after the end of the tax year to be updated on the National Insurance record. There may also be some sort of query with your record.

If you contact the Future Pension Service they should be able to view your record and advise of any shortfalls which, if paid, would improve your pension entitlement. They will then be able to transfer you to HMRC who will provide payment details.

Contact the Future Pension Centre

Thank you.
