Direct Debit cancelled once maximum Class 3 contributions met?

Good morning - I have 2 more years of Class 3 voluntary contributions to pay and 4 years until my pension starts. Will my DD be stopped automatically once the maximum amount of contributions have been met in 2 years time, or do I need to check it and cancel the DD myself? Many thanks.

You should check your pension entitlement on your personal tax account and when you have the full entitlement then please cancel your direct debit so that no further voluntary class 3 National Insurance contributions will be collected.
