I have one more year to pay Class 3 Voluntary Contributions to get the full state pension. I've just checked my Pension forecast and it says currently I would get £220.67 a week instead of £221.20 which is a difference of 0.53p a week or £27.56 a year. I don't know if I should continue paying for another year or not. Are you able to advise or say who I should contact to find out? Many thanks.

I have since spoken with someone at the Future Pensions Centre who was very helpful and then I had web chats with 2 different advisors and this has now been resolved. For info as per advice given on this forum I rang at 0800 and got through after about 5 minutes so I would definitely suggest trying this.

Hi,

You may wish to contact The Pension Service to discuss whether it is worthwhile to pay the voluntary National Insurance contributions.

Contact the Pension Service

Alternatively, you may wish to take some financial advice from an Independent Financial Advisor.

Thank you.
