Hi, Ever year, my self assessment does not allow me to pay Class 2 NIC. Every time, it says I have 0 to pay, no matter what happens. I'm in a partnership, and my partner does not have this problem whatsoever. My National Insurance record says, for every year of my partnership, "Year is not full." And, in View Details, "We are checking this year to see if it counts towards your pension. We’ll update your record when this is finished, you do not need to do anything." It has said this for 6 years now. I cannot do voluntary Class 2 contributions, by the way - if I tick the box to say "Yes please, I would like to pay it voluntarily" it refuses to let me pass, and gives me an error message, until I go back and untick it. It has done this for the last several years as well. How do I fix this? I would frankly prefer to pay Class 2 NIC, and indeed would like to be able to qualify for my State Pension eventually! Thank you.
