Hi I am due to receive my state pension in Jan 2026. I have submitted a form for NI credits which should cover 3 previous years of missing NI credits. When I search the status of my claim on line it says I can expect a reply by Feb 2026. As this is after I am due my first pension payments will I receive a back payment to cover my missing pension?

Hi,
To learn how credits awarded to your national insurance record can benefit you and whether back payments might be an option, please contact the Future Pension Centre. They will provide you with all the necessary information.
