Hi 20 years old and in my 3rd year of a gov approved funded apprenticeship, my N.I is code H does this have any effect on the minimum wage which im entitled to or should i be on the 18-20 years group of £8.60. Thanks

Hi, thank you for your enquiry. Category H is the rate of National insurance applied for apprentices aged under 25 - National Insurance rates and categories: Category letters - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
This has no effect on the minimum wage that you are entitled to. Further information regarding the National Minimum wage can be found here - National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage rates - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
