Like many others I have sent a payment covering all of the missing years I have due to working abroad - at class 2. I have sent in CF83 first and can see my missing years - but despite sending the money a month ago there is no change in my records. Questions: 1. There was no acknowledgement of the bank transfer - surely this is such a basic requirement? A simple receipt would be proof. 2. Why did I spend 6 hours on a call costing me more than a pound a minute [mobile whilst abroad] to get nowhere - just told 'we are very busy' - well so am I and now I'm hundreds poorer for it and no further ahead. 3. Crucial: How do I just find ouot my payment was received? 4. Nice: When will you get around to reassuring people the money will be correctly allocated to their records? I know you guys are busy - but if we miss a tax payment the Earth falls upon us - surely we can expect something a bit better than this?

Hi,
Apologies for the delay in allocating your payment.
Our systems are unable to send an automatic confirmation when a payment is received.
You can request confirmation of how much we received and when by calling or writing in to us at:
PT Operations North East England
HM Revenue and Customs
BX9 1AN
When submitting your correspondence, please provide your National Insurance Number, full name, current address, a contact telephone number, and a brief explanation of the purpose of your letter.
Additionally, please remember to sign and date the document, even if it is printed.
Due to the high volume of customers trying to make voluntary contributions, it currently could take up to 56 weeks for our caseworkers to allocate your payment.
If you fall within 6 month of your State Pension and your payment has still not been allocated please contact the National Insurance department on 0300 200 3500 or +44 191 203 7010 if calling from outside the UK.
Thank you.
