Having registered as self employed in her married name, but kept her maiden name for business as it is her recognised business contact name, we now find that login to update NI contributions is impossible as the authentication methods (passport, driving licence) are in her maiden name. It is also impossible to log in and change the name on the account. How can we change the name on her account to match her identity proofs ie passport, driving licence, phone bills etc etc? She is no longer self employed, we had hmrc help to sort out a fine for not being able to send in a return but now need to get her NI in order
