Hi there - In January this year, I spoke to someone in the HMRC office and made 4 payments from my bank to the HMRC NI Receipts account in January as I have been living abroad for the past 11 years. According to my NI record, these payments are still outstanding and no change has been made to my Pension forecast. Every time I try and call, I am on hold for 1.5 hors plus and then number disconnects. I have tried the webchat, but it says it can only deal with PAYE and Self Assessment and there isn't a person there. Would love some advice please. Thanks.

Hi,
It can take 8 weeks from the date of payment for the contributions to start reflecting on your record. If it has been longer that 8 weeks then I would advice you to keep trying to contact us via telephone.
We understand that due to a high volume of calls we are receiving at the moment some customer have not been able to speak to an advisor, we are currently taking measures to improve the waiting times on the helpline.
If you are still unable to get through via telephone then you could write into us to the address below:
Individual Caseworker
PT Operations North East England
HMRC

You will need to provide us with the following information on your letter:
•    your name
•    your address
•    your phone number
•    your National Insurance Number
•    what the payment is for
•    the period/s you are paying for
•    request for a receipt - if this is required
Thank you.
