Minus PAYE in final payslip

Hi, I need help understanding my final pay, my PAYE tax says -292 but as I have had deductions taken from wage from my now previous employer my net pay is 0. Does a minus PAYE suggest I am due a refund as I haven’t been paid anything into my bank account from my now previous employer? I am slightly confused and help would be appreciated. Kind regards

Yes, a minus on a deduction means it has been refunded rather than deducted. However if you owed your employer money (maybe for annual leave you took but hadn't accumulated due to leaving or some other reason) then they would have used the tax refund to cover the amounts owed to them. This will be why your net pay was £0.
