Full Payment Submission (FPS) Reporting

When submitting on behalf of a client what is the file format for FPS? I have read about Generic Flat Format (GFF) and Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport. I have read that it can be sent in either format but I am unclear if one is more appropriate than the other or if there is a difference in format styles for specific clients/situations and I am just not seeing that part.

Also, is there a way for FPS reports to be submitted in bulk? If I have 10 clients I need to submit for, would I be able to upload all of them at one time or are all submissions required to be uploaded individually by client?
