We set up a direct debit instruction on 12/6/2024. I can see from our tax account that we have an upcoming payment of £445.19. HMRC must have this amount by 22 October 2024. I know we're supposed to be notified a few days in advance of the collection date. But so far I've had nothing and am starting to worry. When does HMRC take their money - monthly or quarterly. And when should I expect my first payment to be collected.

Hi ,
We would only take the money when it becomes due, I would recommend contacting us on 0300 200 3200 and we can advise
when the money will be due.

As quarterly payers debts by definition only become due every quarter the direct debit will not be taken each month but each quarter.

If you call in we can check if you are a quarterly payer.

Thank you .
