I have applied for the PAYE activation code 3 times this month and have received nothing in the post. I have tried calling HMRC on different numbers, but can not get through to speak to a human!! every option I go through on the phone, tells me to go back online and closes my call!! So frustrating!! I have done the online chat which was to the wrong department, they sent through the link for the correct department, but it keeps says this online service is currently down... I have tried this every day for a week!! Can anyone help, what am I supposed to do... How do I send PAYE/rti to HMRC without this code that seems to be impossible to get? Is there another way to do this?

I apologise for the inconvenience caused but unfortunately this isn't something I can help with. You should be able to self serve at:
HMRC online services: sign in or set up an account.
If you are having issues there, you really need to speak with an online service advisor. The telephone number is Technical support with HMRC online services or their webchat option can be found here:
