My P11D form carries Private medical treatment insurance as a benefit. I understand this needs to be added as a taxable benefit in my self assessment tax return. My employer pays the insurance for myself and my family. My employer recovers the cost of insurance relating to my family. Currently the P11D form column "cost to you or amount forgone" carries amount "xxxx" ,column "amount made good or from which tax deducted is blank and column "cash equivalent or relevant amount" is "xxxx". Accordingly, the amount recovered from me is not reflected. Which amount I need to include in my self assessment tax return? is it "xxxx" or "xxxx" less the amount recovered from me?
