Hello I have done my final submission for this tax year (Nov 24), however I forgot to use the option ' Final submission for tax year' that is included in the Basic PAYE tools software when I submitted it. When I did the Director's salary payment I did tick the box stating that it was their last of this tax year, but no option for this for non Directors. I have also put in a leaving date of 30 Nov for all employees and have their P45s. I will be making no more PAYE payments to employees this tax year and will be closing this PAYE scheme. Can you advise how best to remedy the fact that I have not used the 'Final submission for the tax year' option ? Many thanks in advance Regards

You should be able to send us a further NIL FPS marked final submission.

Hi Gary stated there is not an option for selecting 'Final submission for tax year' for an employee, this only exists for a director. I have the same issue as there was no option to select for my employee. Does the employee require a final submission as well if so how do we do this via basic tools as advised by yourself to send us a further NIL FPS marked final submission? thanks

Hi,
There is no 'Final submission for tax year' for an employee - its a 'Final submission for tax year' for the PAYE ref / Employer scheme as a whole.
This is found under Employer details page under Menu. 
There is a ""Is this the final payment for a director"" - this is a question the software asks so it knows to recalculate the NIC for Directors.
The BPT assume any payment in month 12 of the tax year is the final one.
