Dear HMRC Forum Members, I am writing to seek urgent assistance regarding my company's registration for PAYE. I registered my company on 8th March, but I have not yet received the PAYE reference and Accounts Office reference from HMRC. As I need to pay my employees in March, so I am going ahead with creating payslips, making payments to my employees, and submitting the payslips once I receive the reference numbers. Any guidance or assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hi,

We are currently experiencing problems registering new employers and it may take us longer to set up your record and issue your PAYE and Accounts Office references.

You can continue to pay your employees and keep payroll records, submitting your returns once we have set up your record.

When submitting the payroll submissions you can declare a reasonable excuse as to why your submission is late.

Thank you .
