I have previously run PAYE through ltd company and had a PAYE reference, however I closed the Payroll scheme as moved to permanent job for a couple of years. Now 3 years later I resumed trading and I want to run Payroll again through the ltd company and have re-registered as an employer again and received a new PAYE reference for a ltd company today. However, when logging on to the Gateway account, the old PAYE reference is still there and no mention of the new PAYE reference. Was re-registering as an employer again correct? and would/should my gateway account update with the new PAYE reference? I cannot run the payroll from the accounting software as won't sink with the information in my gateway account. all advice appreciated.
