I was in the Military for 37 years and never once had a tax letter telling me that i had paid to little tax, even when promoted, bonuses, pay rises my PAYE was always correct. Since I have worked for my latest employer I have been placed on a K number for paying to little tax dispite being PAYE. My question is who should be keeping HMRC updated as I didnt have to do this whilst in the military?
