I'm hoping to bring on my first employee soon, who lives in another country, Poland to be more specific, hence I'm looking for information about how to set that up, and all steps I need to take to make sure everything is done fully legally, and generally a step-by-step guide on how to get started with it. I'm not getting them to move to the UK or anything, they will simply work mostly from there. They come over to the UK from time to time however to help with certain projects. So what do I need to do to make this happen? Would just making them a director make things easier? Also, which country's minimum wage would apply? I want to avoid making a separate legal entity at all costs as that would complicate things even further, neither can I make them a self-employed contractor as the level of detail and control they will have will go above what can legally be considered a contractor. Thanks for any info.
