We have seen this issue a couple of times now where HMRC have updated our clients 23/24 tax codes following submission of a P11d that includes an electric car BIK. We have submitted the P11d using third party software showing 0g/km emissions and as such the calculated BIK is at 2% of list price. These amounts have then been included on the clients SA returns. However HMRC are using much higher figures in the updates to our clients tax codes. Last year we had the same issue and were advised that this was down to a computer glitch at HMRC's end which didn't recognise the "0" value. We were told that the only way to sort this was resubmission of the P11d by the client using their own PAYE account. Is this still an issue at HMRC's end? How else can we sort ?

Hi,
There is no ongoing known issue relating to this scenario.
If you have specific examples please contact the Employer Helpline on 0300 200 3200 and we will check P11d submission to ensure correct figures are held.
Thank you.
