Deleting employer on HMRC software basic PAYE tools

I want to delete a client in HMRC Basic PAYE tools that I no longer act for ( the company still has a PAYE scheme). How can I do that ?

It is not possible to delete an employer once they have been added.

You can change the name if you wish, for example to "no longer active record".

but then every time you enter the software it warns you that you have not updated that client which I can't do as I am no longer the accountant. Is that something I am going to have to live with ?
