Hello, I have a question as it seems impossible to contact HMRC and talk to a person. Here is my case in short. In tax year 2023/2024 my income shows more than 10k on top of what I actually received and I’ve figured out what the mistake is after struggling a lot.I worked a few months in a pub as a chef and then moved to a restaurant both of them under one company name so what happened and I can see that online is that my income when leaving was the total of the two plus the income separately from the pub on top.Lets say I’ve made 10k in the pub and then 5k in the restaurant. On my end of year it shows that my income is 25k which is wrong and now I be been told I owe a few thousand which is wrong as I personally went through my bank statements and I’ve earned exactly this 10k less as it’s doubled . Please can I get help as to how to resolve that issue because it’s a lot of money actually and I feel I am being robbed! Many thanks

Hi,
We are provided the pay information from your employer, so in the first instance you should question any incorrect pay figures on your P60's with them.
As it is not possible to check individual tax records through this forum, which this query will require, you will need to contact our Income Tax team for advice.
