Hi, I’m a university student on a zero hour contract at a bar, for the last 10 weeks I worked in the US at a summer camp. I got paid for this and they deducted US tax, can I claim this back and how do I do this? And do I declare these earnings to HMRC and how do I do that? Thanks

Hi Alyssa,
HMRC cannot repay tax deducted overseas - Foreign income needs to be declared in the UK and the following Guidance explains more about this - Tax on foreign income.
Thank you.
