Letter of Confirmation of residency and UK liability

Hello, I am trying to get a Letter of Confirmation of residency and UK Liability for France. I have been using the online form below: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/get-a-certificate-of-residence I did not use the email a form but the online services via this link: http://www.tax.service.gov.uk/digital-forms/form/request-for-certificate-of-residence-in-the-uk/draft/guide When getting to the step Capital Gain Details, I am required to enter details of the asset sold, but this as yet to happen. How can I fill in that page for a future Captial gain in the current tax year? Thank you

We cannot issue a certificate for a date in the future so you cannot apply until the property has been sold in order to give the date required.
