I have a small pension with NEST (current value £9000). I would like to make a one-off contribution to this pension in April 2024 of £30,000 from money that I currently have in Premium Bonds. I will be retiring from NHS in June 2024 and claiming my NHS pension then. This will include a tax-free lump sum. I would just like to check that I wont incur any Pension Recycling tax charges. The one-off payment into NEST pension would be made from seperate savings and before I receive my NHS pension lump sum so my understanding is that it wont. Advice would be greatly appreciated.
