If 19/20 Tapered £10k, Contribution £11k ( but lots of unused prior) 20/21. Not tapered, so AA £40k contribution £15k 21/22. Not tapered contribution £15k 22/23 tapered ( to £4K) Contribution £20k Additional rate taxpayer in each year Am correct that I can carry forward the £16,000 excess made in 22/23 to 20/21 to avoid a tax charge …. If so do I need to report it on SA and how?

Hi,

If you mean the unused allowance carried from 2020/21 to 2022/23, you do not declare it as such as there is no charge to pay. You can put the details as additional information, just as confirmation.

Thank you.
