Can you transfer an old ISA from a previous tax into a new ISA for this tax year, plus interest that you’ve earned along the way? For example, if I put in £20k into an ISA last tax year, and earned £200 interest, am I able to transfer the full £20,200 into a new ISA this tax year, or just the £20k? And if it was just the 20k limit that I was allowed to transfer, but I transferred the full £20,200, what would happen?

Thank you for this link. I’ve read this but it does not provide information to answer my question in relation to transferring the interest that you’ve already earned from the ISA. Are you able to transfer the interest you’ve already earned on the ISA? So if you put in 20k last year and earned £500 interest on that £20k, can you transfer the full £20,500 into another ISA? Thank you.
