Hello, I'm French resident for over 15 years, I did a lump sum drawdown on a personal pension last year and got taxed (obviously, I expected to be) My claim for refund has been submitted (in October) and I'm waiting for a response. My wife is intending to do a drawdown on her personal pension this year. We would like to avoid be taxed at source on that if possible because of the delay in getting a refund. Can she apply for an NT code in advance of the drawdown? I've read mention (on these forums) of a form S12909 but I can find no trace of it. Thanks in advance.

Hi
The NT code cannot be issued in advance as we need to wait until the actual income source is on the record. This will only happen once the payment has been made.
