So I was working freelance as a UNI lecturer but now I've been moved onto PAYE with IR35. Thing is though this a part time job 2.5 days a week and I only teach from Sept until April yet my pay packet is being taxed as though I'm working full time all year around/ Anyone have any ideas how this works, can I get a rebate here and how do I go about this? Thanks in advance.

Hi Peter,
If you are treated as an employee then tax will be deducted from your pay. The tax is calcualted on your income for the tax year. If you think you are paying more tax than due then I would contact HMRC to access your record and check this for you.

Thank you.
