Received letter and its for someone else

I received a letter which had been redirected to my address. When I opened it the letter is for someone else. Not sure why it was redirected to my address. It chasing some debt. The Direct debit reference is xxxxxxxxxx, Surname is (name removed by Admin 33) I just bin the letter>

If the letter is for someone else you can return the letter and write on the envelope not known at this address. You can also contact HMRC to update :  Income Tax: general enquiries . Thank you .
