Hello I’m hoping to access tax free childcare and funded hours, but my salary is over £100k. I understand that if I contribute to my workplace pension through salary sacrifice then this reduces my “adjusted net income”. However if I make payments to a personal pension (so this will not appear on my payslips but will be declared in a tax return) as well as salary sacrifice, does this also help me to reduce my “adjusted net income”? As long as it does not exceed the maximum £60k of pension contributions for the tax year? Thank you

Hi Bluepencil92,
Yes, if you make contributions from your net income then this will reduce the adjusted net income.
Please see guidance here:
Personal Allowances: adjusted net income
Thank you.
