Dear HMRC I resigned from a job last year. I haven't received a P45 from them ever after 8 months. I have applied for a benefit which requires a P45 from my previous job. I have been in touch with the previous employer who states that only the HRMC can issue P45 after the termination of the contract. Is this the case ? I look forward to your reply. Thanks LH

Hi Holmes123 Laxman,
HMRC do not issue P45 as its the employer who does this. If you resigned prior to 5/4/23 then it would now be obsolete. You can advise the benefit office that you have not received the form.
Thank you.
