Declaring Interest on Personal Savings

I am an employed person who has earned just under £4k in interest in current tax year from savings accounts (excluding ISAs). How do I inform HMRC about this interest please in order that I can pay correct tax..

The banks and building societies will notify HMRC after the tax year end. Once received HMRC will review and send a calulation with details of tax due.
