I opened my first ISA on 29th August 2023. It was a one year fixed ISA. When it matures 29th August 2024 can I then open another ISA or do I have to wait until April 2025 to open another, thus losing out on 8 months?

Hi,

The tax year in which you opened your first ISA ends on 5 April 2024. This means that from 6 April 2024, you can open another ISA of the same type that you have already opened, since they are in separate tax years.

Thank you.
