Hi i am a BNO visa holder and I am a UK tax resident. If I withdraw my Hong Kong MPF voluntary contributions while residing in the UK, do I need to declare it on my self-assessment? I understood Article 17 of the UK/Hong Kong double taxation agreement stated that the pension is only taxable in Hong Kong. Not sure if it includes the voluntary portion of the pension. Many thanks.

Hi wlwtsang,
You do not declare it as income but will make reference to it in the comments section of the return and under which article it is exempt.
Thank you.
