Hi I am UK resident (non domicile) and I paid into a private pension that qualifies as QROPS (India) in Tax year 22-23. Can I claim tax relief on this contribution ? Thanks

Thanks . My contribution should qualify under DTAA. However I am not clear on the following phrasing below in the section DTAA( reproduced below) Double taxation relief You can get double taxation relief on contributions to an overseas pension scheme if: - you were paying into the scheme before you moved to the UK - you were receiving tax relief on those contributions - a double taxation agreement covers your contributions to the scheme Does this mean the contribution is valid only if I had been paying before I moved to UK. To give a background, the scheme came into effect only after I moved to UK but it is covered under DTAA and hence the first 2 conditions are not met but the contribution meets the 3rd criteria. Can I claim a tax relief in this case meeting only 1 of the criteria ie the DTAA coverage ? Thanks in advance
