I receive a private pension and helped my ex employer out last financial year for a few months and my tax code was split .I staid on the books after that but didn’t work and the pension tax code changed to the emergency tax code .To help get my tax code back to accumulative I have ended the zero hours contract and have received my p45 tax code 18T, zero earning .Will my ex employers submission of p45 details put my code back to 1257L from 1257LX or will I need to send HMRC my p45 ? If so where do I send it too .TIA

Hi Ginger66
You do not need to send your P45 to HMRC as your old employer should have done so.
When we received notification of your employment ending, a tax code change should have been prompted.
If you wish to check your current tax code, you can do so using the online service here:
Check your Income Tax for the current year
Alternatively, you can contact HMRC here:
Income Tax: general enquiries
Thank you.
