Dear Sir/Madam, I own a company in the UK and there are employees in the UK working for this company. I receive a salary from this company. According to "Check your UK residence status"; as I have never stayed in the UK for more than 20 days per year, I am not a resident. I have a pre-settled visa because my spouse is an EU national. My main residence is in Turkey. I also have a business in Turkey. I also receive a salary from my business in Turkey. I would like to buy a house in the UK. I want to transfer a deposit amount of the house from my bank account in Turkey to my bank account in the UK which I have accumulated over the years from my salary which has been taxed in Turkey. Will I have to pay tax in the UK on the deposit I am transferring?
